WP7: Sustainability

To ensure sustainability of the project after its lifetime the UMCUs and financial allocations for the next five years of their functioning will be legalized by endorsement of Governing Boards of respective universities. Next, a revenue model, financial projections and a strategic plan for the NULMN will be developed and endorsed by its Board of Trustees and the NULMN will be licensed and officially registered. The value added is the NULMN and the UMCUs, which will strengthen the dialogue and contribution of all the parties through activating the stakeholders and bringing in their rich experience in terms of qualifications, learning outcomes, quality assurance, employment criteria, student placement and procedures, and sharing the good practice. Changes in the internal regulations of universities and establishing new regulations in the newly established units will ensure longevity of the undertaking. The newly developed sectorial qualifications frameworks for engineering, economics and pedagogy will be endorsed and officially put into practice by the MoES. To ensure validity of the SQFs, ANQA will set up an expert panel including international experts to conduct self-certification of the SQFs.

Further, the design of the project also projects a clear role and specific responsibilities for each partner involved and equal distribution of the responsibilities. This very approach ensures their active participation in the project, active involvement in the decision-making processes and therefore, ownership of the developments so crucial for sustainability. Support of the MoES, enterprises, the ANQA, and that of EU institutions will ensure smooth incorporation, continuity and sustainability.
